The Road Reporter program allows you to assist fellow commuters by reporting traffic conditions and incidents while you drive. At no cost, you can be a part of our network of volunteers that report real time road conditions.

After you send in your contact information, a staffer will contact you and give you instructions for reporting traffic information to the Operations Center. We are interested in knowing about everything that affects traffic (accidents, breakdowns, road conditions, traffic volume) as well as your drive time. Once you register we will give you a telephone number to call, on your wireless phone.

When you call our Operations Center, a Traffic Information Manager will answer and immediately put your information into our database for distribution to other users. Your information will then be available on the SmarTraveler® Web site, and through various media outlets as well.
